Our Mission

We strive to provide professional development that helps to improve teacher self-efficacy and to build individual and staff capacity in the planning and implementing effective literacy instruction for all students. Self-efficacy is the belief in one's own ability to successfully complete tasks and reach goals. Individuals with a strong sense of self-efficacy believe that the effort one makes is worthwhile and will result in positive change. Infused in the work we do at LLG is an underlying belief that teachers can be inspired to invest in their own professional growth and to see that investment as a worthwhile endeavor. We provide teachers with strategies and tools to improve their practice and to share that knowledge with others through ongoing school and district based structures.
